Mayfield Minute: Rock Child is Back!

PASADENA, California– Three beloved Mayfield Senior traditions converged on Thursday during Mayfield’s first week of school when the Student Council hosted a Homecoming Party in the Pike Auditorium. Students celebrated the friendly Red and White competition by sporting red or white t-shirts and accessories and participating in spirit games like a banana relay. Students were ecstatic after Rock Child, Mayfield’s adored faculty band, made a special appearance at the end of the Homecoming Party. The band sang a few of the students’ favorite songs including “Here Comes the Sun” by the Beatles, “California Dreamin’” by The Mamas & The Papas, and an acoustic rendition of “Proud Mary” by Tina Turner. Students showed their love by waving their flashlights above their heads, turning Pike’s audience into a sea of light. Mayfield can’t wait for the next Rock Child performance!
