Mayfield Seniors played one their final league match of the season against Chadwick High School. Brook Aloe’26, Alisson Huang’26, Ella Montanez’26, Abby Longo’27, Isabel Buckwalter’26, and Jordan Steele were honored with a grand celebration full of decoration, posters, cupcakes, and a delicious dinner. This season was especially rewarding for the seniors, as they have the Prep League Tournament to look forward to, as well as CIF’s! These six seniors will be deeply missed by the underclassmen on the team, and have become great role models for everyone. This 2025 season would not have been the same without their determination, positive attitudes, and strong mentality. They have carried the team to success, and will always be cherished! Phillis Knoll’27, Anais Escudero’27, Abby Lono’26, Lucy Mayer’28, Alisson Huang’26, and Brooke Aloe’26 will be competing in the Prep League tournament at the Arcadia iTennis courts on October 27th, so make sure to come show your support!

Anais Escudero is a sophomore at Mayfield Senior School, and is the Athletics and Features Editorial Assistant for the Mayfield Crier! This is her second year writing for the newspaper, and aside from athletics, she is passionate about writing for science, politics, breaking news, and personal experiences. This is her second year playing for Varsity tennis, and she is a part of the Women’s Ensemble, Campus Ministry Council, and is the head of the debate club. Anais loves to read, go to the beach, draw, watch medical marvels and court TV programs, make flower bouquets, and spend time with her family and friends. She is excited to grow as a writer and submit to competitions! Anais aspires to become a lawyer in the future.
