Every October, Mayfield Senior has their annual All Arts Night celebration, where every conservatory of the arts is showcased. This year, dancers performed on the grounds of Mayfield with upbeat contemporary pieces, as well as an awards presentation, recognizing students who demonstrated outstanding excellence. A handful of violinists joined together to perform classical pieces for a full audience in the Commons, which was later filled with creative poetry, read allowed by students in the Creative Writing Conservatory. Student artwork was hung on the walls of Strub Hall, where family, friends, and teachers admired the talent and creativity on display. Finally, the freshman vocal foundations class performed small, but mighty musical songs, demonstrating the growth and technique they’ve learned throughout the school year. To conclude the night, the well known Women’s Ensemble captivated the audience with four beautifully complex pieces that reflected their exceptional artistry. The evening was a true success, and highlighted the dedication, creativity, and hard work of every Mayfield artist.
