Hello Mayfield!

We’ve made it to October! Though this may not be welcome news to the Seniors, who are beginning to feel the pinch of college applications, I’m sure we are all readily awaiting the fall season with our pumpkin spice lattes and warm cardigans.

So far, our dedicated team has compiled a number of interesting and inspiring articles, such as Labubu Craze by Mina Kim ‘29 and Andrea Manale ‘29, a Lessons in Chemistry book review by Emelia Lagousis ‘26, as well as a Mayfield Minute about Dolores Huerta’s on-campus interview by Lila Golden ‘29! This month we also welcome our new faith column by Erin Harney ‘27— you can read her first article called “Livin’ on a Prayer.” Check them out and support your peers by clicking on the hyperlinks!

Congratulations to the Varsity volleyball team that emerged victorious for the big Dig Pink game after 4 challenging sets! We are already so proud of our staff and all their hard work. Shoutout to Lila Golden who has written the most articles this past month! Stay tuned for more fun articles on everything Mayfield and for our letter in November!

Graciela Mills is a Senior at Mayfield Senior School. This is her second year as a writer for The Mayfield Crier, now as the co-editor-in-chief, covering topics she is passionate about, such as languages and culture, Bioscience, and the environment. She has three years of experience writing in the Creative Writing Conservatory where she has won multiple honorable mentions from the Scholastic Arts & Writing competition. Outside of school, she enjoys taking walks with her dog, learning japanese, reading, drawing, and medialunas, and Messi.
