On Sunday, May 4th, the annual Mother Daughter Mass and Brunch took place. At 10:30, mothers and daughters entered Pike Auditorium and waited for the student speakers to begin. After remarks from students, the priest shared a heartwarming story of his mother and how she would encourage him to go to church even though he was very rebellious. His story of forming a closer relationship with God touched everyone in the room as he talked about how his mother ignited his passion for becoming a Priest. Following more remarks and prayer, everyone joined in a final song, received the Eucharist, and made their way to Commons for a delicious brunch. The Mass served as a beautiful tribute to the unique and sacred bond between mothers and daughters and reminded everyone in the room of the enduring influence of maternal love and faith. Laughter, conversion, and celebration continued while everyone shared plates of hot Quiche, chocolate chip muffins, roasted greens, bagels, and a variety of soda. In the lead-up to Mothers Day, this event was more than just a school tradition–it was a powerful reminder of the influence that mothers have while raising their daughters.
