As the Class of 2025 prepares to go off to college and embark on a new chapter of their lives, the hardest part is saying goodbye to the women who have been with them through it all: their mothers. From the first day of kindergarten all the way up to graduation, the Class of 2025 has relied on their mothers in every important moment of their lives.
On May 1st, Mayfield Senior School hosted its annual Senior Tea for the Class of 2025 and their mothers. The event opened with heartfelt speeches by seniors Kristen Awakuni, Roselle Garcia, Lara Georgian, and Mackenzie Younker who gave gratitude to their mothers. The seniors then offered their mothers an orange flower as a gratitude for all that they do.
Following the ceremony, the seniors and their mothers made their way to Strub to engage in a tea party. The menu consisted of many delicious pastries, and of course, tea. In an afternoon of laughter and fun conversation, a bittersweet feeling lingered in the air, as the seniors and their mothers realized that college was right around the corner. The evening came to a close as the seniors and their mothers captured memories in many heartwarming photos and created a bouquet of flowers together.
Though the seniors are sad to say goodbye, they are extremely grateful for all that their mothers have done for them.
Thank you mothers!
