The Varsity Tennis team is off to a great start in their 2024 season. So far, they are undefeated! On Tuesday, October 1st, the Mayfield Cubs had a great match against the Poly Panthers at the Arcadia County Park. Despite the intense heat, the Cubs showed their resilience and wrapped up the matches with a 10-8 win! Good luck to the Varsity Tennis team as they face the Chadwick Dolphins on Thursday, October 3rd. Go Cubs! Maybe highlight a certain player that did well in her matches and get a quote from her

Ann Tanaka is a Senior at Mayfield Senior School and the Sports Editor of the Mayfield Crier. She joined Newspaper in her junior year and has grown to become extremely passionate about writing. While she enjoys writing about many subjects, she is especially interested in writing about sports. In addition to writing, she pursues her passion for sports as a Junior Olympic diver and a swim coach. Outside of school, she likes to spend her time volunteering at various organizations such as Club Moai and Club 21. This year, Ann is thrilled to improve her writing skills and explore new topics.
