Mayfield Minute: Music in May
Mayfield’s Women’s Ensemble performing “Seasons of Love” at Memorial Park Bandshell.
Mayfield’s Women’s Ensemble and Instrumental Conservatory performed at the “Music in May” event on an outdoor stage at Memorial Park Bandshell in Pasadena. The afternoon was filled with picnic blankets, snacks, and of course, incredible music.
Although singers and instrumentalists were beyond excited to perform, it was a bittersweet day since it would also be the last time they’d perform with students from the Class of 2023. Students from the Women’s Ensemble and Instrumental Conservatory honored their seniors by giving a speech that thanked them for their amazing contributions to Mayfield’s arts programs. Seniors were given a beautiful rose and also a Cornelia Connelly pendant in order to always keep a piece of Mayfield close to their hearts.
The 2023 Music in May was truly one to remember, and we hope you’re as excited as we are to see what next year has in store for Mayfield’s Women’s Ensemble and Instrumental Conservatory.
