Mayfield Minute: Softball Starts Off Strong
Mayfield’s softball team has begun their 2023 season, with 22 players, making this year’s team the largest in the last four years. Last week, the softball team played two games: they lost their first game against South Pasadena High School but were victorious in their second game with an 8-5 win against Alverno Heights Academy. On February 21, the Cubs had their first home game at Brookside, losing to the Flintridge Sacred Heart Tologs but coming back the next day, beating Sacred Heart High School. The team will play their first Prep League game of the season against Westridge on February 28. Though these four games are just the beginning, it is shaping up to be an exciting season for the Cubs!
