Ready What’s in Season: Winter

This is everything that is in season for the months of January, February, and March in Southern California.

Beets, Broccoli, Cabbage, Carrots, Cauliflower, Celery, Cilantro, Fennel, Grapefruit, Kale, Kohlrabi, Leeks, Lemons, Lettuce, Mandarins, Navel Oranges, Parsley, Radishes, and Strawberries.

Some recipes to try out with these ingredients are a spiced beet salad, apple fennel salad, lemon lavender muffins, asian quinoa bowls with peanut baked tofu, and vegan orange poppy seed loaf. This orange poppy seed loaf is my favorite recipe and it calls for blood oranges but it works with any type of oranges.
