Cozy with Autumn Poetry: Mayfield’s Poet Society
Every poet I have met has told me that autumn is the ultimate writing season, and I have to say I couldn’t agree more. Nothing will ever compare to writing poetry on a rainy day while sipping a warm cup of your favorite fall beverage (I like to keep it simple and go with hot chocolate with extra whipped cream and marshmallows) and binge-watching the Harry Potter series. Even going to a small bookstore that smells like just the right amount of old pages and coffee beans is amazing. Personally, I know that I love reading poetry, especially on a perfect day like the ones I described.
Because I wanted to share the amazing experience with all of you, a few of Mayfield’s Poet Society’s members have written the perfect batch of fall-related poetry that will do your rainy, crisp air days complete justice. Enjoy!
