Emma Olivia Quintero is a junior at Mayfield, and this is her third year on The Mayfield Crier. She is currently Opinions Editor, exploring her enduring curiosity for the stories that may go unnoticed. Emma has written in Creative Writing Conservatory for three years. Her work was recognized regionally by Scholastic Art and Writing. She is also co-founder of Mayfield Poets’ Club. She is the co-coordinator for the Environmental Justice Committee in SJLC and is the Newspaper Representative for Mayfield Arts Council. This year, she is excited to continue her passion for environmental preservation, social justice issues, and educating herself further on these particular topics. In addition to the written word, she loves thrifting in Los Feliz, watching old movies, rainy days, and reading late at night. Emma is beyond excited to continue writing for the Crier.
