Aliyah is a freshman at Mayfield Senior School. Despite this being her first year on the staff of the Mayfield Crier, Aliyah has a strong background in writing. She won the Hassan Hathout Foundation Essay Contest after four consecutive years of participation. She received the Patricia and Abed Awad Achievement Award for Excellence in Islamic Studies, Academics, and Character in 8th grade. She also played an essential role in the yearbook team in 8th grade, serving as the primary lead of the team. Aliyah is dedicated to academics, religion, and community service, tutoring younger students in various subjects, including Arabic. She enjoys basketball, softball, swimming, and reading and is excited to start her journey at the Mayfield Crier to grow as a writer!
