On September 30th, Mayfield Senior’s Varsity Tennis defeated the Westridge Tigers in a remarkable 13-5 win. This was their second League match, and was especially rewarding after their loss to Flinteredge Prep. The team was able to redeem themselves by strategizing more carefully with their lineup, and realizing their mistakes so they could improve on them. Singles Player, Phylis Knoll won all of her singles matches, as well as Anais Escudero won two out of three matches, and Sophia Khang won one of her matches. On the other hand, the doubles teams only fell by two matches, and everyone was cheering loudly with Mayfield Pride. The Cubs are excited to take on Chadwick High School on October 7th, and carry their momentum forward.
