It may only be the first week of November, but Starbucks has already released their winter drinks! The holiday menu includes items such as the “Cran-Merry Orange Refresher”, “Gingerbread Cream Cold Foam”, a “Turkey Sage Danish”, “Dark Toffee Bundt” cakes, “Penguin Cookie[s]”, and “Snowman Cake Pop[s]”. Christmas time brings a special spirit to Bellefontaine, as decorations line Strub Hall, and the community prepares for holiday festivities such as Kris Kinds. The first signal of the holiday season is always seen in the mornings: which festive coffee or drink will be most popular amongst the student body? “I think a peppermint mocha is by far the most popular drink because it has the perfect amount of chocolate, coffee, and peppermint,” Mary Suarez ’25 claims. Whether your ideal holiday drink is a homemade hot chocolate, or the new cranberry “refresher” from Starbucks, I think we can all agree that a festive beverage brings Christmas cheer!
