The 2024 presidential election took place Tuesday, November 5th. The halls of Mayfield echoed with political conversations. The cubs were nervous, and filled with anticipation. As highschoolers, Mayfield students are at the age where they can fully understand the topics being debated, and participate in discussions. Many seniors have already turned 18, which means they were eligible to vote in this year’s election! On Tuesday, countless seniors were seen on campus sporting their “I Voted” sticker. These stickers united the teachers and students, despite political affiliations, as they all practiced their right to freedom of speech. “I liked voting because after watching so many elections I could finally be a part of one,” Sophie Limongeli ‘25 said. We congratulate every senior who voted!
