In Pasadena, autumn begins the process of choosing a Tournament of Roses court and queen. At the September ceremony to announce the Pasadena Tournament of Roses 2025 Rose Court, seven different schools were represented: Arcadia High School, John Muir High School, La Cañada High School, Maranatha High School, Flintridge Preparatory School, Westridge School, and Mayfield Senior School.
“I am so honored to be a part of the court, and to have gotten to know the six other girls on a personal level,” said Mayfield’s very own Rose Court member, Lara Georgian ‘25 after the announcement.
“We have all grown so close together, like sisters,” said Georgian. “I cannot wait for our upcoming events and getting further involved with my community.”
One month later, Coronation Day arrived. Each member of the court gave a speech reflecting on their upbringings and spotlighting what is most meaningful to them. Some themes included

“Lindsay’s genuine humbleness and charisma truly make her so deserving of being queen,” Princess Lara Georgian said at the ceremony.
The Rose Parade takes place annually on New Year’s Day, drawing between 700,000 to 900,000 attendees each year. This iconic parade has been a Pasadena tradition since 1890, making it over 130 years old. It showcases elaborate, flower-covered floats, marching bands, and equestrian units. Start planning now and secure your spot. The event is free of charge, but grandstand tickets are recommended for the most comfortable viewing opportunities. Tickets can be purchased on the Tournament website.
