We all know and love the cheesy crunch of Goldfish but most of all we know its name. Goldfish was the foundation of countless childhoods, and allowed children to enjoy afternoons snacking. Starting on October 23rd and ending on October 30th, Goldfish is changing its name to ‘Chilean Sea Bass’. But why? According to ChileanSeaBassCrackers.com, changing their name will attract more adult customers. Goldfish, originally Goldfischli, was primarily a product in Switzerland. They quickly gained popularity through the attention of an American traveler, Margaret Rudkin, the founder of Pepperidge Farm, who later launched the first Goldfish.
