It’s been an exciting and eventful week at Mayfield Senior School as the cubs celebrate their coming together as a community with the first spirit assembly of the year! The white team took the win and the lead in this year’s red vs. white rivalry during a competition that saw four red team and four white team members, one from each grade, playing a game relating to this year’s theme, Monsters Inc.. The new school nurse, Ms. Theresa, shocked the school with her knowledge of Generation Alpha slang, featuring words such as “bet”, “ate”, and “mewing”. Ms. Garcez and Ms. Bachman dazzled the crowd with their beautiful English flute playing, even playing an encore after the audience begged and cheered for one. Maisy and Daisy came out for a special cha-cha slide performance and later joined Rock Child on stage. Overall, it was a huge success, as everyone from the freshman to the seniors was talking about how fun the event was.
