This past Friday, January 26, 2024, Mayfield’s student-led Arts Council hosted their annual Arts Jam, a talent show in which students across Mayfield art conservatories volunteer their artistic talents in front of an intimate, student audience. With soft armchairs and couches lit by a crackling fire on the projector behind the performers, the Commons was the perfect place to host this cozy, campfire-themed event. Equipped with free pizza, drinks, and desserts, students settled in to watch their peers perform heartwarming renditions of their favorite songs or moving original works of creative writing and poetry. From senior Sarah Brennan’s impassioned vocalism to Freshman Emma Quintero’s moving poem, Arts Jam was rich with artistic talent, hard work, and fun – it was a night we will never forget.
