On Friday, January 20, 2023, Mayfield’s Women’s Ensemble loaded the Mayfield vans and headed to Loyola Marymount University’s beautiful campus to attend the LMU Choir Festival, which involved a booked day of singing and listening to choir performances from schools across the state of California. 

After doing vocal warm-ups, including humming and “sirens”, Mayfield’s singers entered LMU’s Sacred Heart Chapel and listened to over 30 songs sung by talented musicians. Mayfield’s Women’s Ensemble performed songs titled “I Carry Your Heart”, “Cantate Domino”, “Yom Seh L’ Ysreal”, and “Lullaby.” Some schools who attended the festival included La Canada High School, Venice High School, Highland Park High School, among many others. It was a successful and memorable day of beautiful singing!
